I think it is pretty obvious what my latest music obsession has been; Jay-Z has made me believe in hip-hop a little more now. The album dropped Sept. 11 and there are 22 songs on the album; only 3 of which are by himself. The Blueprint 3 includes artists such as Kanye West, Rihanna, Alicia Keys, Young Jeezy, Drake, Swizz Beatz and Pharell Williams, of the Neptunes.
According to Rolling Stone, the release date of The Blueprint 3 was exactly 8 years after the original Blueprint Album was released. I love Jay-Z and ever since the leak came out it has been on repeat. Now, I have all 22 tracks and I ain’t never goin’ back!
Some of my favorite tracks are D.O.A., Empire State of Mind and A Star Is Born. I encourage all music lovers to give this album a listen; and please, all hip-hop fans, don’t give up hope. There is much work to be done, but we are still alive.
